Concert pianist Steven Masi is a modern day rarity, an heir to the great tradition of pianists in the line of Wilhelm Kempff, Claudio Arrau, Artur Schnabel and Wilhelm Bachaus who love and excel in the great German and Austrian masterpieces.
This concert is the first of an eight-part series of Beethoven’s piano sonatas. Masi will perform: Sonata No. 15 in D Major, Op. 28 “Pastoral”; Sonata No. 3 In C Major, Op. 2 No. 3; Sonata No. 13, Op. 27. No. 1 “Sonata Quasi una Fantasia” and Sonata No. 21 in C Major, Op. 53 “Waldstein.”
